Explore the breweries of New England, the birthplace of the hazy IPA, with fellow beer lovers. It’s a beer adventure! We've put together a 9-day brewery tour covering four states to showcase some of the best breweries New England has to offer. Check out the breweries that pioneered the New England ‘haze craze’, including The Alchemist and Ratebeer’s ‘Best Brewer’ five years running, Hill Farmstead.
But even beer lovers need some variety—we’ll also explore local foods, go on scenic hikes in national parks, stay in a quaint waterfront town, visit a maple farm, and go to the Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory for tastings. This small group tour will be a holiday like no other.

Vermont - Vermont, USA

The day to day itinerary lists some of the breweries to be visited, but please note there are so
many breweries to visit in the region that we just couldn't include all of them. There’ll be many
unique and diverse brewery visits each day… you won’t be disappointed!

Day 1:
We meet at 8am in our Boston hotel for departure towards Vermont. We stop along the way at
Long Trail Brewing, an original pioneer of the Vermont brewing scene. We drive the scenic
Vermont Route 100, passing quintessential New England landscapes of rolling farmland and
soaring peaks reminiscent of Norman Rockwell paintings.
Arriving in Burlington, we check into the hotel before heading out for free time to explore the
numerous breweries and restaurants in the lively pedestrian-only city centre.
Overnight Burlington, VT

Day 2:
This morning we visit Waterbury for a taste of true Vermont. Within a couple of miles of each other,
there’s a cider mill to try cider donuts and fresh pressed cider (non-alcoholic), a Cabot Vermont
cheese store with numerous free samples, a tasting room for Smugglers Notch distillery, Lake
Champlain Chocolates, and everyone’s favourite Vermont attraction: the Ben & Jerry's ice cream
factory! We’ll take a guided tour of the factory and have some free time for an ice cream break.
After our tastings, we travel the "IPA Highway" to visit the most renowned breweries that created
the unique Vermont IPA which evolved into the New England IPA (Hill Farmstead, Lawson's Finest
and The Alchemist.)
In the evening, we return to Burlington for dinner and more downtown breweries.
Overnight Burlington, VT

Day 3:
We drive across Vermont today towards New Hampshire, with a stop at a maple farm along the
way… a visit to Vermont wouldn’t be complete without tasting maple syrup! In Franconia Notch
State Park, we’ll embark on a short but scenic hike up a mountain for panoramic views of the White
Mountains. A quick stop at Woodstock Station Brewery before we traverse the scenic Kangamagus
Highway (one of the most scenic drives in the USA).

Arriving in the small, outdoorsy mountain town of North Conway, we check into our hotel before
heading out to the local breweries for the evening.
Overnight North Conway, NH

Day 4:
We will stop at one brewery in small town Maine as we make our way across the state to our
destination of Bar Harbor.
Upon arriving in Bar Harbor, the remainder of the day is free for you to explore the quaint village,
shops, seafood, waterfront area and the Atlantic Brewing Company.
Overnight Bar Harbor, ME

Day 5:
Full day in Acadia National Park.
We will spend the entire day exploring Acadia National Park, visiting all the highlights of the park
along with a group hike. In the evening, we return back to town where you’ll have the opportunity to
participate in an optional Sunset Whale Watching Tour or have free time to relax and enjoy the
nightlife in the village of Bar Harbor.
Overnight Bar Harbor, ME

Day 6:
Heading south today we stop in Freeport to visit the home of LL Bean: a Maine institution. Free
time will be given to shop at the outlets in the village before meeting up again to visit the Maine
Beer Company's tasting room.
Continuing south, we arrive at our Portland hotel to get ready for a fun night in the historic
downtown waterfront area. The old cobblestoned streets are filled with world class restaurants and
breweries within the walkable city centre.

Day 7:
A full day to explore Portland’s thriving brewing scene: one of the most exciting "Beer Cities" in the
USA! We’ll travel as a group to visit the most buzzworthy breweries outside the city centre in the
greater Portland region. We return in the evening for more nightlife fun in the historic centre.
Overnight Portland, ME

Day 8:
As we drive towards Boston, we’ll stop in picturesque coastal communities along the Maine coast.
Arriving in historic Portsmouth, NH, we’ll have free time to stroll the quaint colonial downtown and
Portsmouth Brewing Company.
Once in Boston, we’ll check into the hotel before setting out for our final group dinner and having
goodbye beers with our tour family.
Overnight Boston
